If a group of concerned citizens intends to oppose a proposal such as the Melrose quarry expansion, and expects be taken seriously, it must organise itself efficiently and act as professionally as those whom it opposes. At some point such a group needs to enlist the help of professionals such as lawyers and consultants. Citizens Against Melrose Quarry has reached that stage: we are negotiating the services of a lawyer and a hydrogeologist to help us prepare for the forthcoming public meeting and a possible appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board. All donations, large or small, help us get our message into the community. If you feel you would like to contribute, here are a few easy ways...
Contact a member of the executive regarding a donation (cash or cheques made payable to Citizens Against Melrose Quarry). Please email by clicking here and one of us will be happy to contact you.
