Concerned about the effect that quarrying has on local water sources? Take a look at the recent application for the renewal of the Permit To Take Water at Lot 6, Concession 3, Tyendinaga Township (Longs Quarry). Follow the link below to the Ontario Government's Environmental Registry. The period for public comment about this proposal ends on December 8, 2013. Make your questions, concerns and comments known to the Ministry of the Environment before this date either online or by letter. Once the PPTW is approved it will be effective for ten years.
